Preschool to eighth-grade students will be involved in celebrating and sharing patriotism through song. The children have learned about their country across the curriculum in their preparations, and there will be artwork, posters and displays in the hallways.

A unique moment in the program will be when St. Johns' children recognize veterans and current soldiers with a special song, "Proud of our Veterans," along with a slide show tribute.

A "Shoebox for a Soldier" care package program involves families of St. Johns' students and will be on display for Entertainment Night. Care package items are still welcome to be brought to Entertainment Night, including non-perishable snacks, mints, toiletries, Wal-Mart gift cards, beef jerky and fruit-flavored single packets for adding to water bottles.

Those attending the festivities are asked to wear red, white and blue. There is no admission, but a free will offering will be taken to cover Entertainment Night costs. Thrivent Insurance for Lutherans will provide flags and refreshments.
